Congratulations, Tito, Vic, and Joey — true legends of Filipino entertainment and music!

Courtesy: Fisher Mall Malabon

Ang parte ng segment na ito ay unang ginamit sa "Juan For All All for Juan: Bayanihan of the Pipol". A total of 15 participants ang maswerteng nabunot -- sampu sa kanila ay nakatanggap ng tig-isang sako ng bigas mula sa Grainsmart Rice at lima naman na nakatanggap tig-P5,000.

Courtesy: TVJ

Courtesy: TVJ

This is a also a great way para maihatid naman ang swerte at pag-asa sa mga dabarkads na --- mula barangay hanggang mall.

GMA’s “Buy 1, Take 1” Promo sa Affordabox, Palpak? Benta Lalong Bumagsak!

JUST IN: Eat Bulaga Trademark Class 41 Secured Under Joey De Leon

The Philippines' longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, continues to make headlines — this time not for its on-screen antics but for a powerful legal move. Recent documents show that the brand "Eat Bulaga" has been successfully registered under Jose Ma. De Leon across several Nice Classes in the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPO).

These registrations are not just formalities. They're strategic assets that secure the show's brand identity across different industries:

Source: WIPO

Nice Classes 16, 21, 25, 18 – This covers printed materials, household utensils, clothing, and leather goods. (Registration Date: August 22, 2024 | Number: 4/2024/00502326)

Nice Class 41 – Pertains to education, entertainment, and cultural activities — the core of what Eat Bulaga stands for. (Registration Date: July 18, 2024 | Number: 4/2023/00506771)

Nice Classes 29, 30 – These include food and beverages, indicating a possible future in merchandising and consumable products. (Registration Date: January 3, 2025 | Number: 4/2024/00529732)

With these trademark registrations, Jose Ma. De Leon is effectively fortifying the Eat Bulaga brand — ensuring its exclusivity and opening doors to expanded business opportunities like merchandising, content streaming, and even food products.

This legal move also sends a strong message in the ongoing debate over ownership and rights related to the Eat Bulaga brand. By holding official rights in key commercial and entertainment areas, De Leon secures not just a name, but a legacy.

---

What This Means for Fans and Entrepreneurs

Fans can expect more official merchandise and possibly spin-off businesses. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs or media networks looking to collaborate or license the brand will now need proper authorization — a clear win for brand integrity.

The registrations represent a bold, forward-thinking strategy that protects both cultural heritage and future commercial interests.

The Humble Beginning of a Superstar

The Humble Beginning of a Superstar

Nora Aunor, born Nora Cabaltera Villamayor on May 21, 1953, in Iriga City, Camarines Sur, began her career not as a movie star, but as a singer. From winning a singing contest on the radio show "Tawag ng Tanghalan" in the 1960s, Nora's remarkable voice opened doors for her to enter the Philippine entertainment industry.

Rise to Fame in Philippine Cinema

The late 1960s and early 1970s marked Nora’s rise as a beloved figure on screen. She starred in a series of blockbuster "Guy and Pip" love team films with Tirso Cruz III, gaining a massive fanbase. Despite her petite stature and morena skin, Nora defied the traditional norms of Filipino beauty in showbiz — a feat that made her even more iconic.

Breakthrough Roles and International Acclaim

In the late '70s to early '80s, Nora Aunor transitioned to more serious roles. Her performance in "Himala" (1982), directed by Ishmael Bernal, is considered one of the greatest performances in Philippine cinema. The film was nominated at the Berlin International Film Festival and was later hailed by CNN as one of the best Asian films of all time.

Dominating Television and Music

Aside from film, Nora conquered television and music. She released over 260 singles and more than 100 albums, many of which achieved gold and platinum status. On TV, she starred in memorable teleseryes and Lenten specials like “A Daughter’s Love” from Eat Bulaga, showing her unmatched versatility.

Award-Winning Legacy

Nora Aunor has won numerous awards locally and internationally. She is a FAMAS Hall of Famer, a Gawad Urian multiple-time winner, and has received honors from international bodies such as the Cairo International Film Festival and Asia Pacific Screen Awards. Despite political controversies that led to her being bypassed for the National Artist Award in 2014, she was officially conferred the title in 2022 — a long-overdue recognition of her excellence in acting.

The Superstar's Continued Relevance

Even in her later years, Nora remains active and respected. Her roles in indie films and television dramas continue to win critical praise. She is an irreplaceable icon whose journey reflects the evolution of Filipino cinema and the resilience of the Filipino spirit.

Conclusion

Nora Aunor is not just a name — she is a movement, a legend, a national treasure. From "Tawag ng Tanghalan" to international red carpets, her story is one of grit, talent, and timeless legacy. The Philippine Superstar continues to inspire generations of artists and fans alike.

The Philippines Mourns the Loss of Legends: Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales Pass Away

The Philippine entertainment industry is in mourning as it bids farewell to two of its most iconic figures: Ms. Nora Aunor, the celebrated Superstar of Philippine cinema, and Ms. Pilita Corrales, the Asia’s Queen of Songs. The nation unites in grief as these two cultural treasures pass on, leaving behind legacies that have shaped generations of Filipinos.

Nora Aunor: The Unforgettable Superstar

Born Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, Nora Aunor rose from humble beginnings in Iriga City to become the most revered actress in Philippine history. Known for her incomparable acting prowess, she redefined the image of a lead actress in the 1970s with her authenticity, raw emotion, and undeniable talent.

From "Himala" to "Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos", her performances transcended the screen, earning her international acclaim and multiple Best Actress awards from the Gawad Urian, FAMAS, and other prestigious bodies. Her artistry gave voice to the voiceless, portraying characters that embodied the struggles and hopes of the Filipino people.

Pilita Corrales: Asia’s Queen of Songs

Pilita Corrales, often hailed as the first Filipino artist to conquer the international stage, carved a name for herself not just in the Philippines, but across Asia, Australia, and Latin America. With a career spanning over six decades, she was best known for her impeccable vocal range, iconic Spanish ballads, and elegance on stage.

She inspired a new generation of singers and paved the way for Original Pilipino Music (OPM) with hits like "Kapantay ay Langit" and countless duets with Filipino and international artists alike. A beloved host and mentor, Pilita was a pillar in TV variety shows and talent competitions, guiding the stars of tomorrow with grace and warmth.

A Nation in Mourning

The passing of Ms. Nora Aunor and Ms. Pilita Corrales marks the end of an era in Philippine arts and culture. Tributes have poured in from celebrities, politicians, and fans from all walks of life. Flags are flown at half-mast, and cultural institutions plan memorials and retrospectives in their honor.

Their contributions to film, television, and music are immortalized not only through their extensive body of work but through the millions of lives they’ve touched. In their art, they gave the Filipino people pride, hope, and identity.

Legacy Beyond the Limelight

As we bid farewell to these two national treasures, we are reminded of the power of art to transform, heal, and unite. Ms. Nora Aunor and Ms. Pilita Corrales may have taken their final bows, but their legacies will echo through the ages—forever etched in the heart of the Filipino soul.

Organic Stardom: Artists rose to fame gradually. No shortcuts. Pinaghirapan ang bawat exposure.

Sense of Loyalty: Artists stayed with their network and mentors for years, some even decades.

Commercial Appeal: Emphasis on being “marketable,” visually appealing, and relevant.

Conclusion:

Congratulations our noontime majesties! All hail to the Queens!

Comment down below!
