Popular content creator VSN announces a total shutdown of its platforms following legal pressure from TVJ Productions.
In a sudden official statement that has sent ripples through the online community, the creator known as VSN revealed they have received a formal Cease and Desist Letter from TVJ Productions. The legal notice demands the immediate cessation of the channel, the deletion of all archived materials, and a permanent halt to uploading any episodes of the long-running noontime variety show, Eat Bulaga!
A "Devastated" Farewell to the Archive
VSN, which had become a go-to source for fans looking to relive classic and recent moments of Eat Bulaga! and The New Eat Bulaga! Indonesia, expressed deep sadness over the development.
"We are devastated when we saw this and only wanted to save EB Episodes for Everyone to see," the statement read. "Unfortunately we will have to delete everything or else we would have to go through Legal Actions which we cannot do."
The shutdown is comprehensive. VSN confirmed that not only will their Facebook Page be deactivated, but their presence on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram will also be scrubbed.
The Legal Weight of TVJ Productions
The move by TVJ Productions—the company owned by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon—comes as part of their intensified efforts to protect their intellectual property. Following their high-profile departure from TAPE Inc. and the subsequent legal victories confirming their ownership of the Eat Bulaga! trademark and archives, the trio has been vigilant in consolidating their digital footprint.
While many fans view these "archive" channels as a service to the community, the law views them as copyright infringement. TVJ Productions’ move signals a "zero-tolerance" policy toward unauthorized distribution of their content as they build their own official digital legacy on TV5 and beyond.
What’s Next for the Dabarkads?
Despite the shutdown, VSN remained graceful, offering an apology to TVJ Productions and expressing hope that "all EB Content gets preserved in the future."
For the followers, this serves as a reminder that the only "Legit Dabarkads" experience now resides within the official channels sanctioned by TVJ. As the "old" archives disappear, all eyes are on TVJ Productions to see if they will launch their own comprehensive digital vault for the show’s 47-year history.
