​Unkabogable Box-Office Superstar Vice Ganda recently bared all regarding why saying yes to a major career move did not come easily. During the formalization of a groundbreaking creative alliance dubbed “The Phenomenal Partnership” with Manuel V. Pangilinan’s MediaQuest Holdings on August 12, 2026, the iconic TV host addressed past tensions.

​Recalling the heart-wrenching period when It's Showtime had to leave its noontime slot on TV5 back in 2023, Vice candidly admitted experiencing initial hurt.

​“Inaamin ko medyo sumama loob ko pero di ba, in this industry naman we don't burn bridges. So ako, dahil nagustuhan ko ang layunin nila, I eventually said yes,” Vice shared.

​Rather than holding grudges, the comedian stressed the importance of giving oneself space to heal. “I allowed myself to heal muna. Parang valid naman siguro kung nagtampo ako. Pero I did not close doors. I did not burn bridges. Sabi ko nga, there was never a time na binad-mouth ko 'yung TV5 after that,” Vice added.

​Clearing the Air on TVJ

​Addressing questions about the veteran trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ) and Eat Bulaga's subsequent entry into TV5, Vice made it clear that there is no bad blood whatsoever.

​No Personal Resentment:

“Wala akong sama ng loob sa TVJ, ha. TVJ has nothing to do with it.”

​Professional Respect: “Wala naman akong relationship or deal with them. Hindi naman sila 'yung nakasakit sa akin. Wala naman silang obligasyon sa akin. TVJ was just doing their job also as well, as entertainers.”
