LMTV PH Pays Tribute: Remembering the 2013 ‘Faces of 5’ – A Defining Era of TV5

As we stand on the cusp of the much-anticipated launch of Star Worx today, May 5, 2026, it is only fitting that we look back at the origins of TV5’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent.

Before the current wave of modern entertainment, TV5 once made a bold move to rebrand itself by showcasing the diverse and vibrant pool of talent that would define a new chapter for the network. We are paying tribute to the iconic "Faces of 5" campaign from 2013—a project that truly solidified TV5 as a powerhouse for local artists.

Back in January 2013, TV5 launched an ambitious initiative to introduce its roster of stars. Project Manager for TV5 Celebrities, Robbie Francisco, noted that the goal was to “put together something up-to-date, having TV5 celebrities not just in entertainment media, but diversifying their personality.” Photographer Raymund Isaac, who worked on the campaign, echoed this sentiment, noting that the campaign showed “a lot about the change that they wanted.” It was an era where the network moved beyond traditional casting, bringing together celebrities from various backgrounds to create a fresh, dynamic image for the station.

The "Faces of 5" video was a masterclass in modern branding, featuring a stellar lineup of actors and performers who were instrumental in shaping the network’s identity, including Valeen Montenegro, Arci Muñoz, Martin Escudero, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Daniel Matsunaga, Derek Ramsay, and many more who graced the "Faces of 5" project.

As we prepare for the evolution that Star Worx brings today, we honor the pioneers who paved the way. Their contributions in 2013 laid the foundation for the creative freedom and talent-centric approach that continues to thrive on the network today.
