The Kapatid Network continues its winning streak as TV5 and One Sports bagged major accolades at the 11th Platinum Stallion National Media Awards, held at Trinity University of Asia (TUA). The awards ceremony, which recognizes individuals and institutions that inspire the Trinitian community, solidified TV5's position as a powerhouse in news, public service, and sports broadcasting.
Dominating the Sports and Public Service Categories
Leading the haul for the network was One Sports, which was once again hailed as the Best TV Sports Channel. This recognition underscores the channel’s commitment to providing world-class coverage of major sporting events, including the PBA, UAAP, and the PVL.
In addition to the channel award, several Kapatid personalities were honored for their excellence:
Best TV Sports Program Host: Martin Javier was recognized for his dynamic reporting and expertise in the sports arena.
Public Service Excellence: The network’s dedication to grassroots journalism and community support was highlighted through individual citations for its news anchors and program hosts.
The Academe’s Choice
The Platinum Stallion National Media Awards are unique as the winners are chosen through a university-wide survey involving students, faculty, and staff. Winning these awards reflects the network's strong resonance with the youth and the academic community.
"This recognition from Trinity University of Asia is a testament to the hard work of our teams who strive to provide 'Sari-saring Saya' and 'Sapat na Impormasyon' to our viewers," a network representative shared.
With these new trophies in their cabinet, the Kapatid Network enters 2026 with a renewed commitment to delivering high-quality content across all its platforms.
Congratulations!
