Last Saturday, April 11, 2026, our Team Bahay, Team Studio and Team Abroad turned all their eyes to the TV5 Media Center as Eat Bulaga! hosted its much-anticipated Lenten Special Awards 2026. This year's ceremony, integrated with the popular Bulagaan segment, brought together fans and stars alike to celebrate the best moments from the show's Holy Week special presentations. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Ryzza Mae Dizon (as Miss Dizon) and Allan K, the event was a delightful blend of humor, emotion, and recognition.
After an eight-year hiatus, the Lenten Special Awards (formerly EB Dabarkads Choice Awards) made a grand return, introducing eight brand-new categories that captured the essence of the 2026 specials. The winners were decided through a balanced voting system, with 50% coming from online votes cast via the Eat Bulaga TVJ Facebook page and the remaining 50% from a confidential Board of Judges. The comical tabulation was handled by the aptly named 'May Nag-iisa Tabulating & Accounting Firm.' A unique highlight of the evening was the awardees' knock-knock entries, a nod to their characters or episodes, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the ceremony.
