The Philippine business and entertainment landscape remains in a state of high speculation following the recent public encounter between business tycoons Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) and San Miguel Corporation President and CEO Ramon S. Ang (RSA).
The two leaders were spotted together at MVP’s recent birthday celebration, where RSA’s presence fueled further rumors regarding a potential partnership and a possible joint acquisition of media giant ABS-CBN. When asked by the PEP Troika about these rumors, both men remained elusive. RSA noted that it would be a "great honor" to collaborate with MVP, while MVP simply gestured toward RSA with a smile. TV5 President and CEO Guido Zaballero also expressed uncertainty regarding the acquisition rumors, though he emphasized that he hopes for potential future collaboration between networks.
Programming Shifts Across Networks
Beyond the boardroom rumors, significant changes are happening on-air. TV5 is expanding its reach, with plans to air shows on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and AllTV. Notable programming updates include:

* Vibe+ Changes: The musical show Vibe has rebranded as Vibe+, now under the direction of Mr. Johnny Manahan. The show has welcomed Gigi de Lana as a regular host, and the expanded format is now open to featuring international songs.
