VIBE+ASAP SOON? TV5 and ABS-CBN Reportedly Considering Back-to-Back Sunday Timeslots for Vibe Plus and ASAP XP

TV5 and ABS-CBN are reportedly weighing a major programming shift that could feature back-to-back Sunday daytime slots for TV5’s "Vibe Plus" and ABS-CBN’s flagship musical variety show "ASAP XP".

Under the proposed arrangement being discussed by network insiders, "Vibe Plus" would occupy the 11:00 a.m. slot, paving the way for "ASAP XP" to return to its traditional noontime slot at 12:30 p.m. This prospective change comes several months after ABS-CBN moved its long-running Sunday variety program to a 5:30 p.m. primetime block.

Speculation surrounding the lineup adjustment grew following a series of guest appearances by regular "ASAP XP" performers on TV5's music countdown show. The crossover began when Maymay Entrata and Angeline Quinto appeared on the first-anniversary episode of "Vibe" on August 15, followed by Ogie Alcasid on August 22, and Nyoy Volante alongside Erik Santos on August 29. Veteran singer Martin Nievera is also scheduled to perform on September 5.

While neither network has officially confirmed the adjustment, the talks build upon their ongoing content-sharing partnership. TV5 currently airs several Kapamilya productions—including "Coco Martin’s Sigabo," "Someone Someday," "Blockbusters sa Umaga," "Kapamilya Deal or No Deal," and "Everybody Sing"—while ABS-CBN platforms carry Kapatid titles such as "A Secret in Prague," "My Bespren Emman," and "Face To Face with Ate Koring." As of now, the strategic Sunday block remains purely in the discussion phase with no final schedule changes officially announced.
